Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know before booking a paella for your event: prices, booking, what we bring and how the day works.
Price and booking
The price is per person and goes down as the number of guests goes up: €16.50 with 80 guests, €13.20 with 100 and €8.36 from 160, VAT included. It depends on the paella. We always work with a fixed quote, and transport is calculated according to the distance.
80 guests, or 50 for weddings. Below that, the cost of travelling with the van, the burners and the team cannot be shared among enough people to offer a fair price.
Ideally two weeks or more; Saturdays in high season fill up sooner. The minimum is 7 days before the event.
You book by accepting the quote and the terms of service and paying 30% online. The remaining 70% is paid once the service is over, within 7 days at most, with the invoice.
What is included
Live cooking with our team, burners, gas and cooking tables; compostable plates, cutlery and napkins; and recyclable cups if you order drinks.
We do not provide ceramic tableware, marquees, or tables and chairs for guests. We do not serve coffee or open bars, and we have no waiters for other tasks. In specific cases we can bring staff to serve starters or drinks: ask us.
Seven paellas and three signature ones (lobster, ribeye and duck magret). Up to two different paellas with no extra charge; from the third one there is a logistics supplement. Minimum 10 servings per paella.
We bring containers and bags so you can take whatever is left home.
On the day
At least 3 × 3 metres to cook. For 1,000 people, between 6 × 6 and 9 × 6 metres. We do not need electricity because we bring gas. It helps us to know whether there is a water point.
Between two hours and two and a half hours before serving. For very large events we agree whether we need to set up the day before or arrive very early.
We serve about 10 people per minute, depending on whether there is extra help. For an event of 300 people, the queue is done in around 30 minutes.
We cook between 4 and 6 large paellas at the same time and serve them in stages, so each one comes out at its best.
Yes. On the day we need someone from the organisation who decides with us whether we keep the time or serve a little later.
Allergies
Yes, we have vegetarian and gluten-free options, and we can send you the allergen chart. We keep everything separate and duplicated. But we cook outdoors, and the wind and the space cannot be fully controlled: intolerances are no problem, but with severe allergies we cannot guarantee 100% that there is no cross-contamination. If that is your case, talk to us beforehand.
Terms
It is all explained in our terms of service: bad weather in section 22 and cancellations in section 19.
